Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is slightly north of Bohemia and the river Vltava. It is also the capital of Bohemia.
In town, we find the President of the Republic, government, central government authorities and the High Court. Also found in the city's most political parties and the headquarters of almost all churches, religious associations and other bodies with national competence.
In its current form, Prague has developed into eleven centuries. As the historic capital of Bohemia, was once the seat of Czech princes and kings, Roman emperors and German capital of Czechoslovakia. In the twentieth century experienced two world wars and the Nazi and Soviet dictatorships.
Prague is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. In Prague, there is the biggest castle complex in the world, and is a UNESCO protected area. The historic city center and many other attractions draw millions of tourists every year from all over the world, make it one of the 20 most visited cities in the world.
In 1992 UNESCO declared the historic center of the city a World Heritage Site.
