Holland is part of the temperate northern hemisphere. It has a temperate maritime climate due to the proximity of the sea and the Gulf Stream North Atlantic with fresh winds and summer temperatures. The winter is usually mild but can have drastic drops in temperature. The rains are well distributed throughout the year, but especially occur in the spring months. The average winter temperature is 3 º C (37.4 º F) and summer from 18 º C (64.4 º F).
